Lessard Lake Outdoor Ed Centre

Situated in a scenic area full of trees and a nearby lake with a public beach, the Lessard Lake Outdoor Education Centre is a terrific location for map and compass, wilderness training, or a weekend exercise.

On site, you will find many amenities, which will make your rustic getaway a little more comfortable. The 40’ x 60’ main lodge is heated with a spacious kitchen area, consisting of a commercial range complete with burners, two ovens and a grill; a large cooler and a fridge with freezer; electrical outlets, running water, stainless steel 3-compartment sink and two large serving tables. A loft area above the kitchen overlooks a stone fireplace located on the main floor. For your safety, the lodge is equipped with smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, first aid kit and a telephone for emergency purposes.

Included with your booking are four 20' x 20' cabins divided into two rooms each with bunk bed frames – total sleeping capacity 48! There are also two fire pit culverts with log seating, two barrel type BBQs and picnic tables. Canoes are also available for your use. The large open area is a great spot to set up tents or for other activities. The shed is kept supplied with firewood.

A fully operational Washroom with sinks & toilet stalls are shared with the Lessard Lake Public Campground. A coin operated shower will allow you to end or start the day with a clean hot shower.

The nearby lake, accessible by a paved pathway leading from the lodge, is used for boating, fishing, canoeing, and swimming. 6 Canoes are available for our use, please state needs when booking.

Where It's Located

Lessard Lake Outdoor Education Centre is located approximately 80 km northwest of Edmonton and 3 km south of Highway 43. It is easily accessible by following the signs to the County of Lac Ste. Anne Lessard Lake Campground. From Highway 16, visitors will reach the Lake by taking Secondary Highway 765 and following the signs. Our friendly caretakers are on duty year round to help you as needed.
